What's Up Wednesday: Super Quick Edition

What’s Up Wednesday is a weekly blog hop with other folks on this writing journey. With that aim in mind, if you want to join us, we encourage you to visit a few other WUW blogs each week, get to know some other writers, and spread some writerly love! Don't forget to leave the link to your post in the widget at the end of this post.

I don't have much to say this time around because my days have been consumed by packing boxes and fighting off migraines all week. I've had very little time to read (boo), I'm not writing (yet), can't think of a whole lot that's currently inspiring me (besides the thought of all this packing being done and moving somewhere better than our current place), and apart from the batch of cookies and the loaf that I baked during a packing break, I've been doing basically nothing but packing (or thinking about what still needs to be packed, changing our address for billing purposes, setting up utilities...fun stuff.) It's all incredibly boring this week, folks.

I hope your week has been much more exciting than mine! SO, WHAT'S NEW?

  2. Oh, Jaime! I hope the migraines go away and the move happens super fast and smoothly. Moving can be a time suck and a pain, but also very exciting too. Hang in there!

  3. Hardly sounds like life is boring for you, Jaime, but I know what you mean. I hope the prospect of moving somewhere new adds joy to the packing for you this week. :)

  4. I hope that your migraines stay far, far away and that the move goes smoothly. I put a bit of peppermint oil on whatever part of my head or neck hurts when I'm having a migraine. It doesn't cure it but it is soothing and it helps.

  5. Jaime, I hope your migraine goes away. Moving is both exciting and stressful - I moved 9 times in 10 years, I know! lol
Take deep breaths and try to think more of the "exciting" part, not the "stressful" ;)

  6. Only a little bit longer and the move will be over, you can do it!

  7. You are doing awesome, Jaime! Moving can be so stressful and all-consuming, but soon you will be in your new place and getting settled into your next adventure. I hope so much your headaches go away, and that maybe even during your packing you can start daydreaming about those next scenes you want to write. Thinking of you <3

  8. I love the excitement of moving to a new place and all the opportunities about to be discovered... but I hate the ACTUAL moving. Packing and cancelling/setting up utilities and changing your address... I groan just thinking about it.

  13. Boring weeks can be good sometimes :) except for the migraines! Boo, that sucks. I currently have the kind of cold where everyone keeps saying how cold it is and I'm over here sweating like crazy! Sending you some good packing vibes, Jaime :)

  18. There's something about packing that's just soul-draining. =/ You have my sympathies. But my Wed was pretty awesome! I won a query and ten page critique from Natalie Whipple. *squeak* It definitely made my week!

  19. Virtual hugs! Hang in there. Thanks for keeping this Wednesday post going despite your busy life. It's really encouraging for me to check in with other writers, even if I don't do a post myself.
